Public relations

A key component of No1Lost is targeted public outreach. Tuberculosis is still associated with stigma today. For this reason, the project relies on factual and accessible information in order to reduce prejudice and strengthen knowledge about the disease.

Among other activities, workshops on communication about tuberculosis are planned, accompanied by experts from medicine and communication studies. The goal is to develop differentiated and non-stigmatizing representations. In addition, informational materials such as articles, policy briefs, and practice-oriented guidance will be developed and made available to professional audiences, policymakers, and the interested public.

These contents are disseminated through the use of existing networks, professional conferences, as well as the project website and newsletter. In this way, No1Lost helps to raise awareness of tuberculosis and to highlight the importance of nondiscriminatory, patient-centered care.
