How is patient data protection ensured in the MDR/RR-TB cohort study?
September 6, 2026
Data protection is ensured through the consistent pseudonymization of all patient-related data. This means that medical information is stored separately from identifying characteristics (such as name or date of birth). The personally identifiable characteristics are known only to the treating study physicians and the study staff at the treating clinic. Data processing is carried out in accordance with the strict requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and has been reviewed and approved by the relevant ethics committee.
