Why is a project like “No1Lost” necessary in Germany?
April 22, 2026
Although the German healthcare system offers good opportunities for treating tuberculosis, socio-medical aspects are often neglected. Vulnerable groups are frequently affected by tuberculosis. Many of those affected live in difficult circumstances. Without targeted support, treatment is often discontinued under these conditions, which poses a problem both for those affected and for public health. There is often neither the time for a detailed conversation nor the expertise to assess the living situation of those affected and identify meaningful ways to support their treatment. This is where the No1Lost project aims to provide assistance, enabling person-centered care even amid the hectic pace of daily clinical practice.
