On the occasion of the annual World Tuberculosis Day on March 24, the Robert Koch Institute, together with the German Central Committee against and the Borstel Research Center, Leibniz Lung Center, and with the support of the Federal Ministry of Health, is organizing the all-day symposium TUBERKULOSEAKTUELL (Tuberculosis Today) on Tuesday, March 24, 2026. The event will be held as a WebEx webinar, with welcoming remarks and presentations broadcast from the RKI lecture hall on the north bank.

Speakers from a wide range of fields will give presentations on tuberculosis prevention and treatment as well as public health aspects. In addition to the latest information on tuberculosis epidemiology, diagnosis, and treatment, the new S3 guideline on tuberculosis prevention for new immigrants will be presented, among other topics.
