DZK announces media award on tuberculosis

German Central Committee against e Tuberculosis (DZK e.V.) honors outstanding journalistic and artistic works on the topic of tuberculosis. The prize, worth 2,500 euros, recognizes contributions that make a special effort to promote understanding of the disease and raise awareness of its prevention and control.

Journalistic works from the fields of print, TV, film, radio, and online, as well as artistic projects, are eligible for submission. Works relevant to the German-speaking world that were published between 2024 and 2026 will be considered.

The criteria for receiving an award include current social or professional relevance, as well as a medically and factually accurate presentation of the topic.

The awards ceremony will take place on April 5, 2027, as part of the TB AKTUELL conference in Berlin. Entries must be submitted to the DZK by October 31, 2026, either digitally or by mail.‍
