Dr. Annette Günther Appointed as Expert Advisor to the DZK
The German Central Committee against is pleased to welcome Dr. Annette Günther as its new expert advisor.
Dr. Günther has been Chief of the Department of Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine at Helios Klinikum Emil von Behring in Berlin since 2025, where she previously served as Senior Attending Physician and Medical Director. Since 2023, she has also served as Deputy Spokesperson for the Infectious Diseases Working Group of the Society for Pediatric Pneumology.
With her many years of clinical experience in pediatrics, pediatric pulmonology, and pediatric infectious diseases, Dr. Günther brings proven expertise to the DZK. A particular focus of her scientific and professional work is on the diagnosis and treatment of tuberculosis in children and adolescents. Dr. Günther has contributed to key national guidelines, recommendations for environmental testing, as well as practice-relevant professional publications and handbooks on pediatric tuberculosis.
The DZK is delighted to announce the appointment of Dr. Günther. With her proven expertise, she will strengthen the pediatric perspective in particular and make an important contribution to ensuring that the care of children and adolescents with tuberculosis continues to be guided by sound professional expertise.
